Native Americans have been imperiled by more than 1500 wars, attacks, and raids throughout US history. These were mostly authorized by the United States government and amounted to racial genocide. Why was this done to the original Americans? Greed and callous disregard for human life. The government was determined to acquire land at any (Native American) cost.
Years rolled into decades and decades into centuries… and the persecution continued with some of the worst and deadliest mass violence taking place in the late 19th Century.
